Running VOS™, Versa SASE is the expansion of Versa Secure SD-WAN providing cloud-delivered networking and network security via a distributed system of Versa Cloud Gateways while enforcing consistent, unified, and global policies across cloud and on-premises locations.
Distributed System of Versa Cloud Gateways
Versa SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) leverages the distributed system of Versa Cloud Gateways around the globe which are approaching 100 locations worldwide. Versa Cloud Gateways extend Versa Secure SD-WAN in businesses and organization from their premises (branch offices, regional sites, campuses, data centers, and home offices) to the cloud and to the front doorstep of cloud services, SaaS, and cloud resources around the world.
The system of Versa Cloud Gateways enables networking, security, routing, and analytics to be delivered from the cloud. Versa SASE converges network and network security services in the cloud, on-premises, or as a combination of both. These services may be deployed primarily on-premises, in the cloud, or as a mixture depending on the type, size, or requirements of each organization, individual branch office, or users.
Versa Operating System (VOS) at the Core of Versa SASE
Versa SASE is built on top of the award winning VOS™ (Versa Operating System) which runs on-premises and in the cloud as part of the Versa Cloud Gateways. VOS can also be deployed as a private Versa Cloud Gateway owned and managed by an organization in a private or public cloud, and within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Organizations are therefore able to leverage Versa SASE as a cloud-delivered offer from Versa, as a hosted offer from a Versa partner, or as an privately owned solution by a business or organization.
Versa SASE (on-premises, cloud, and hosted) includes support of full-featured SD-WAN, comprehensive integrated security, advanced scalable routing, zero trust network access (ZTNA), secure web gateway (SWG), firewall-as-a-service (FWaaS), CASB, encryption and decryption at line rate in real time, and continuous monitoring and analytics.
Versa SASE Policies, Services, and Management
Versa SASE applies policies, services, and capabilities based on the identity of end users, groups of individuals, applications and devices using context in real time while incorporating policies (compliance, regulatory, security, network, and application) and constantly assessing both the risk and trust profile in real-time during each session.
Configuration and management of Versa SASE is performed via a single pane of glass to apply global policies, configurations, and profiles consistently and ubiquitously across on-premises locations and cloud instantiations (private and public). Monitoring, metrics, and analytics are performed across both on-premises locations and the cloud.
